Photos in iOS 12 got a big update.
Theres a bunch of new features and the app itself got some layout changes, but one of the biggest things is the way you can now combine search terms.
For example, if you want to find all the pictures with dogs in them, type ‘dogs’ and then choose the ‘Dog’ category.
It’s important to note that you don’t have to go through your photos and mark all the ones with a dog in them. The machine learning technology does all this automatically for you.
The cool thing though is once you’ve found all your dog pictures, you get suggestions for other things that might relate like people, locations, years, seasons, etc.
Tap another suggestion and your photos get narrowed down even more.
As you select, more suggestions might appear depending on what your phone discovers about your photos.
It’s really powerful for finding images, have a play around with it.
